BrandFoundations was honored to host an absolutely incredible event last night at the CORE: club. Organized by the Business Owners Exchange (BXO), it featured legendary Vistage coach and Tiger 21 co-founder Richard Lavin and a distinguished panel of founders, private equity and venture capital investors. Our topic was the relationship between founders and investors and creating deeper understanding between them.
Richard spoke brilliantly on the underlying science of EQ, how it affects the roles we play of "manager," "leader," and "owner" in our businesses, and the need for both investors and founders to understand this all to better manage expectations.
Richard was joined by an incredible panel: Denise Mari (founder of Organic Avenue), Drew Meyer (Gryphon Investors), David Schneider (3KLP) and Brad Harrison (Scout Ventures) each of whom displayed incredible vulnerability, grace and wisdom as they shared their stories and lessons learned.
The 50+ business owners, advisors and private capital sponsors in attendance made clear how much they appreciated a "real" and "authentic" conversation on an often overlooked topic. It was a night of amazing speakers, profound conversation, and high-powered networking at an incredible venue.
